Founder and business owner Ruta Cariov grew up in Lithuania and attended Vilnius University (founded in 1579) to receive a bachelor’s degree in business, focusing on cost management and accounting. She also completed 2 years of MBA at Vilnius University. Ruta participated in the Investors Forum as well, representing Hydro Texaco Lithuania as part of the accounting and taxation working group. The Investors Forum is a voluntary, independent business association of the largest and most active investors in the Lithuanian economy. Founded in June 1999, today it has over 70 members.
In 2001, her family received an excellent opportunity to relocate to Chicago, Illinois. In 2013, Ruta pursued her passion for bookkeeping and entrepreneurial endeavors by opening her own private practice. She currently resides in Colorado where she enjoys playing tennis, the local food culture, and exploring the outdoors.

She returned to her passion for accounting and has worked for the Texaco and Cinemark corporations for her bookkeeping skills. She also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor and VP for finance for special projects. Ruta then founded STAR Bookkeeping, a bookkeeping company in Colorado, in 2013. Since then, she has focused on using her experience to create a platform to help business owners grow and realize their dreams. Ruta experienced 6 intense years of bookkeeping in Lithuania and more than a decade in the U.S. She started very young and had her first accounting job at 19 years old as a sophomore in college. With years of dedicated experience in bookkeeping, she brings unparalleled expertise and precision to managing your financial records.
